Summer Cover

Field Light Issue 3, the 2026 summer edition is almost here!

This summer cover shows a powerful badger photographed by Taylor Borth. Taylor has been with Field Light since day one and we are always excited to share her bold and original images. You will also see an awesome mule deer buck on the cover. Taylor photographed that one too as part of our mule deer feature.

Inside this issue we also have work from Mark Coupe, Darrel Frolek, Bill Gilroy, Mary Madden, Jen Marie, Amanda Nelson, Bonnie Pryce, Angus Tsang and Valerie Walsh. This summer issue is a true community project. It is packed with great images, clear stories, wildlife facts and personal reflections from that come straight from people who care about the land. Those are my favourite and I will be encouraging your words more often in future issues.

Readers will also notice better print quality thanks to the TRU print shop. Thank you for your support and for helping Field Light grow.
